January 17th - 9th Annual MLK, Jr. Community Breakfast
Join Georgia College & State University and community partners for the “Echoes of MLK: Activism, Disobedience, and Rights in the 21st Century” MLK, Jr. Community Breakfast on January 17, 2025, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Magnolia Ballroom. In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy, essay competition winners will reflect on the theme.
January 17th - 19th - Le Pied Mu Mont Boucherie
Join the eighth annual Le Pied Du Mont Boucherie Festival in Georgia’s Piedmont region, a two-day event celebrating butchers, chefs, farmers, and veterans as they showcase sustainable, seasonal cuisine. Supporting STAG VETS INC’s Agro-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy program at Comfort Farms, the festival raises funds to help combat veterans transition into civilian life through agriculture.
January 18th - Central State Hospital Trolley Tour

January 23rd - 25th - Shrek The Musical Jr.
Based on the Oscar-winning film, Shrek The Musical brings the beloved fairy tale characters to life with original songs and a hilarious story of an unlikely hero on a life-changing journey. Georgia College & State University alumna Grace Wood presents a photography exhibit celebrating the beauty, complexity, and authenticity of the South through a blend of film and digital work. Inspired by Southern Gothic artists like Sally Mann and Flannery O’Connor, her collection runs February 6–27, 2025, featuring pieces from her time in Milledgeville.
February 7th - First Friday: Flannels & Food Trucks

Celebrate the Life of a Flower exhibit at The Marlor Art Center, February 12–14, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., featuring live floral art and ceramics crafted by GCSU art students under the guidance of Ms. Sandra Trujillo. This vibrant showcase highlights the delicate beauty of flowers and the artistic expression of ceramics in a stunning multi-medium display.
February 21st - 22nd - Georgia College Homecoming & Alumni Weekend

Featuring new songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, catch the performances on February 27th and 28th at 6:00 p.m. at the NewDay USA Center for Leadership at GMC.
