ABOUT
ABOUT
The John Marlor Art Center, one of three historic buildings comprising the Allied Arts Center, is a key cultural landmark in Milledgeville, Georgia. Situated in an area formerly known as "The Strip," which was the heart of the African American district until the 1980s, the center now houses arts offices and the Marlor Art Gallery. Adjacent to the John Marlor Art Center is the Allen's Market Building, a 1911 structure repurposed to serve as a theater, meeting, and studio space. The Allied Arts Center, including the John Marlor Art Center, offers arts camps and workshops for all ages and hosts a gallery featuring visiting artists with exhibits that change bimonthly, enriching the community's cultural landscape.
