5-Mile Cycling Course 

Cyclists can hit the trail on a 5-mile off-road mountain biking course that winds through wooded terrain and open paths. This course is even used by the Georgia Cycling Association for regional races, making it a must-try for cycling enthusiasts. Paved trails throughout the park also offer a smooth ride for casual bikers and families.

Location: The trailhead of the Cycling Course at Walter B. Williams Park is located behind the covered pavilion near the pond and large parking lot. The best access point is the parking lot near the pond.

18-Hole Disc Golf Course

Opened in 2023, the park’s disc golf course offers 18 unique holes with concrete tee pads and RPM Helix baskets. With a mix of open fairways and shaded wooded areas, the course is designed for both casual players and competitive disc golfers.

Location: The first hole of the Disc Golf Course at Walter B. Williams Park is located near a large parking lot at the intersection of Highway 22 and Highway 212. 

Pickleball Courts

Walter B. Williams Park features 28 dedicated pickleball courts with lighting for evening play. These public courts are free to use and often host mixers and beginner-friendly games organized by local pickleball enthusiasts. 

Location: 20 Pickleball Courts are located adjacent to the Recreation Center near large parking lots, accessed through the entrance along Highway 49. 8 of the Pickleball Courts are located near the Disc Golf Course, and parking lots along Highway 212. 

8-Field Convertible Baseball/Softball Complex

Walter B. Williams Park features eight convertible baseball and softball fields, ideal for hosting tournaments of all sizes. Designed for flexibility and performance, these diamonds include designated batting practice areas, team dugouts, modern lighting for evening play, ample spectator parking, convenient concessions, and on-site restrooms.

Location: The fields are easily accessible from either Highway 212 or Highway 49 and are located just minutes from downtown Milledgeville, where visitors can enjoy local attractions, dining, and shopping. Four of the fields are located behind the Recreation Center, while the other four are located in front of the Recreation Center. 

Recreation Center

The Walter B. Williams Recreation Center features two full-size basketball courts that can be converted to accommodate up to four volleyball courts, making it a versatile venue for practices, games, and tournaments. The climate-controlled gym offers spectator seating, access to restrooms, and on-site parking. The facility also offers 5 full-size classrooms, a banquet room with a kitchen, and a dance studio/aerobics room. 

Location: The Recreation Center is located off Highway 22, near the baseball and softball fields, playground, and one of the lakes on the property that features a walking trail. 

Soccer Fields

The park is home to five soccer fields that are regularly used for local youth leagues and tournaments. With plenty of space and shaded spectator areas, it's a great spot for weekend matches or casual scrimmages. The fields are located at a separate location adjacent to the other Walter B. Williams facilities.

9- Lane Rubberized Track

Located near the soccer fields along Highway 212, the park offers a 9-lane rubberized track for training, casual exercise, or track meets.
