For couples looking for a wedding setting surrounded by natural beauty, Milledgeville, Georgia offers venues that feel like peaceful escapes without taking you far from the heart of the city. Expansive landscapes, towering trees and private settings create a beautiful backdrop for celebrations that feel both intimate and unforgettable. At Woodland Acres at Robbins Farm, Morgan and Sam exchanged vows among the trees, bringing their longtime love story to life on a 60-acre property just 20 minutes from downtown Milledgeville.

From Middle School Friends to Forever
Morgan and Sam met in middle school and quickly became best friends, remaining close throughout middle and high school. After graduating in 2019, Morgan attended the University of Georgia while Sam attended Georgia College & State University, beginning the next chapter of their lives in different places. When Morgan returned to Milledgeville after graduating, the two reconnected and finally went on their first date. On their second anniversary in August 2024, Sam proposed in the backyard of their home, beginning more than a year of planning for their wedding day.

Saying “I Do” Among the Trees
Located just 20 minutes from downtown Milledgeville, Woodland Acres at Robbins Farm spans more than 60 acres and offers four distinct ceremony locations, allowing couples to choose a setting that fits their vision. Morgan and Sam chose The Grove, where towering trees framed their ceremony and white flowers and greenery complemented the natural surroundings. The property’s Montana-inspired cabin, located across from the reception space, also gave Morgan a place to spend the night before the wedding with her girlfriends, making the celebration feel like a full wedding experience.

A Reception Full of Personality
The reception barn serves as Woodland Acres’ central space and accommodates up to 115 guests, with tables, chairs and linens included with the venue rental. Morgan and Sam brought their classic style into the space with white and green florals while adding playful details that reflected their personalities. A rented putt-putt course gave guests another way to enjoy the property, while a dessert bar added a sweet touch to the evening. Together, the spacious reception setting, natural surroundings and personal details created a celebration that felt polished without losing the relaxed character of the farm.

A Heartfelt Celebration
Morgan and Sam’s wedding brought together a friendship that began in middle school, years of shared memories and a setting that gave them room to celebrate with the people they love. From exchanging vows beneath the trees to spending time with friends at the cabin and celebrating into the evening, Woodland Acres allowed the couple to make the entire property part of their wedding experience.
For couples considering Milledgeville for their wedding, Woodland Acres at Robbins Farm offers the feeling of a private countryside escape while remaining close to downtown. Its expansive grounds, natural landscapes, multiple ceremony settings, reception space and on-site accommodations create a setting where couples and their guests can settle in and enjoy the celebration.
