Deep Roots Festival Antique Car ShowFriday, August 2nd: First Friday: Car Show

Celebrate First Friday at the Classic Car Show in downtown Milledgeville on August 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. featuring classic and modern cars, live music, delicious food, and a People’s Choice Award at the 100 block of North Wayne Street—perfect for car enthusiasts of all ages!

Central State Hospital Campus trolley

Saturday, August 3rd & 17th: Central State Hospital Tour

The Central State Hospital Trolley Tour, led by a former hospital employee, offers a two-hour exploration of the institution’s heritage, current client treatment, and property redevelopment, including stops at Cedar Lane Cemetery and the Chapel of All Faiths.  

Kayaking Oconee River Greenway

Saturday, August 17th: Full Moon Float

Mark your calendars for Oconee Outfitter's popular nighttime kayak event! Experience kayaking the Oconee River by the light of the full moon on Saturday, August 17th at 8:00 p.m. Attendees have the opportunity to rent equipment or bring their own. Find out more at the registration link.


Friday, August 23rd: Food Truck Festival

Head to the Food Truck Festival on Friday, August 23rd, from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Mary Brown Pavilion. Enjoy a variety of food trucks serving seafood, BBQ, snacks, and more. The event will feature music, games, and plenty of fun. Bring friends and join the festivities!

Comfort Farms BBQ Competition
Saturday, August 31st: Q For the Few BBQ Competition

Enjoy a friendly backyard competition including ribs, chicken, and a personal side. All contestants must prepare their dishes on wood or charcoal smokers. To register as a spectator or team and to learn more about the competition, visit the Comfort Farms website.
