March 6th - 27th: Obscura Exhibit
The Obscura exhibition, presented by Allied Arts, showcases the surreal black and white photography of Paige Griffin, created through long exposure techniques. On display at The Marlor Arts Center from March 6th - 27th, 2025, the exhibit invites viewers to explore a world of mystery and imagination through Griffin's captivating images.
March 15th: Plein Air Event
Allied Arts has partnered with Lockerly Arboretum to present the Plein Air Art Event, inviting visual artists to create works outdoors in the inspiring landscape of the arboretum. The event will feature a friendly competition with awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, as well as People's Choice, and completed works will be exhibited at The Marlor House afterward.
March 18th: Evenings with History: River to River
The Evenings with History lecture series will celebrate the 200th anniversary of General Lafayette's visit to Georgia's former capital city with a presentation by Dr. Larry Krumenaker, author of River to River. Dr. Krumenaker will discuss his book, which details Lafayette's journey from Savannah to the Chattahoochee River, including his stop in Milledgeville, and will be available for a book signing afterward.
March 24th - 29th: Flannery at 100
Georgia College & State University will honor Flannery O’Connor’s 100th birthday with Flannery at 100, a weeklong series of events, including musical, artistic, and literary showcases that will honor the life and legacy of the celebrated author. The celebration will culminate with a special event at Andalusia Farm on March 29, 2025, featuring free tours, birthday cake, live music, food trucks, and a screening of Wildcat, the Ethan Hawke-directed film inspired by O'Connor's life and literary works.
March 26th: The 200th Anniversary of General Lafayette’s Visit
The 200th Anniversary of General Lafayette's visit to Milledgeville will be commemorated on March 26th, with a series of special events honoring his legacy. Organized by the Baldwin County Lafayette Bicentennial Celebration Committee in collaboration with the Georgia Committee of the American Friends of Lafayette, the day will include historical reenactments, ceremonies, and a grand reception to reflect on Lafayette's contributions to American independence.
March 28th: Music at The Mill
Music at The Mill invites the community to an evening of local musical talent, featuring performances by a spotlight artist, followed by an open jam session. Held on the last Friday of each month, this free, family-friendly event provides a chance for both seasoned performers and newcomers to collaborate and share their music with the audience.
March 29th: Children’s Trolley Tour: Morning at the Museum
The Children's Trolley Tour: Morning at the Museum offers a thrilling dinosaur discovery adventure for children ages 3-8 at the William P. Wall Natural History Museum. Starting at 11:30 a.m., the tour includes a ride on "Milly" the trolley, a story reading of Oh The Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss, and an exciting exploration of the museum, with a snack and surprise for participants.

April 4th: State Banana Pudding Festival of Georgia
The State Banana Pudding Festival of Georgia will debut in Milledgeville on April 5, 2025, at Council Farms, offering a new home for the celebration of the South’s favorite dessert. Featuring events like the Puddin' Pedal cycling ride, the Banana Pudding Contest, and the Skippin' & Poppin' Car Show, the festival will bring together tradition, community, and plenty of banana pudding.
April 4th - 24th: Georgia Artists with Disabilities Exhibit
The Georgia Artists with Disabilities Exhibit will be on display at The Marlor Art Center from April 4th to 24th, 2025, highlighting the incredible talent of artists with disabilities from across Georgia. This exhibit provides a platform for artists to showcase and sell their work while competing for awards, offering a chance to celebrate and support their creativity and resilience.
April 5th: First Friday: Masters in Milly
April’s First Friday event will be Masters in Milly themed, featuring a nine-hole miniature golf course spread across the charming streets of Downtown Milledgeville. Sponsored by local businesses, the event offers a fun, family-friendly experience with live music, shopping, dining, and surprises, all while celebrating the community spirit.
April 12th: ArtHealthy Festival
The 11th Annual ArtHealthy Festival will take place on Georgia College’s Front Campus from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., bringing together the community to celebrate health and fitness through activities like the Kid Zone, aerobic workouts, and a variety of vendors. Sponsored by CREATE Inc. and Georgia College, the festival promotes healthy living and art while addressing the obesity epidemic through education and recreation.
April 12th: Music at the Mansion
Georgia’s Old Governor’s Mansion invites you to Music at the Mansion, an evening of live performances on the historic lawn. This outdoor concert features ensembles from Georgia College’s Department of Music, creating a vibrant setting for guests to relax and enjoy a picnic. A suggested $5 donation supports Mansion programming and the Georgia College Department of Music.
