April 21st | Evenings with History: We Are All Seeking Asylum
As part of the ongoing lecture series hosted by Georgia's Old Capital Heritage Center at The Depot, Inc., Central State Hospital Museum director, photographer, and author Jessica Whitehead will speak on the history of the asylum.
April 25th | Art & Jazzfest
JazzFest on Georgia College’s Front Campus features performances by the university’s Jazz Band and guest musicians. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and enjoy live music in an outdoor campus setting.

The Central State Hospital Trolley Tour provides a guided exploration of one of Milledgeville’s most historically significant sites, led by a former hospital employee. Paddle for Pups with Oconee Outfitters combines outdoor recreation with community support at the Oconee River Greenway. Participants enjoy a guided paddle while benefiting the Animal Rescue Foundation and supporting local rescue efforts.

Milledgeville Burger Week is back for 2026. Ten days of $10 specialty burgers from participating local restaurants across Milledgeville, Georgia. Participating restaurants are competing for the title of Milledgeville's People's Choice Award.

May 30th | Aquapalooza Lake Sinclair
Aquapalooza Lake Sinclair is a large-scale, lakefront celebration featuring live music and on-the-water festivities. Held on Lake Sinclair, the event draws boaters and shoreline spectators alike for a high-energy kickoff to summer in Milledgeville.
May 30th | Lake Sinclair Pirate Parade
Grab your mates and embark on an adventure with the 15th Annual Lake Sinclair Pirate Parade. Departing from Little River Marina, this ensemble of boats will be decked out with pirate gear and follow the captain's boat all the way to Crooked Creek Marina, about an hour away.
