Brown-Stetson-Sanford House
ABOUT
ABOUT
An architectural gem built by John Marlor in the "Milledgeville Federal" style with its characteristic columned double porch. It served the state capital as the Beecher-Brown Hotel and then the State's Rights Hotel for the many visiting legislators who came to the area. Don't miss the spiral staircase which is a Marlor trademark. Tours of the Brown Stetson Sanford House are now available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays during the hours of 1:30-4:30 PM. Book your 1-hour tour by calling 478-453-1803. $10 per person. For large groups, additional times may be coordinated.
