Andalusia’s Second Floor- Late 2024
The second floor of Andalusia, the historic farmhouse of Southern Gothic writer Flannery O’Connor, is being meticulously restored to its 1950s appearance. The renovation will nearly double the size of tourable space and involves preserving the original hardwood floors and windows, replacing plaster, and repainting the walls. When completed, this space will allow guests a first-ever look into the interpretation of the second floor and display preserved items that belonged to the O’Connor family.
Bicycling Trail at Walter B. Williams Park
This September, Walter B. Williams Park in Milledgeville will unveil a brand-new bicycling course developed in partnership between local government organizations and the Georgia Cycling Association. Designed to challenge and excite riders, this course will host its first state-wide race in early September, marking the beginning of an exhilarating new chapter for cycling enthusiasts.
