The 2024 addition of a full-service bar has elevated the dining experience, offering a selection of wines, beers, cocktails, and sake. While you enjoy your hibachi dinner, try their Bloody Mariko, made with vodka, tomato juice, Sapporo (a Japanese beer), and wasabi soy sauce for an on-brand version of the classic cocktail. The bar area, complete with comfortable backed stools, invites guests to unwind and enjoy good company over drinks, making it an ideal spot for both intimate gatherings and lively evenings out.

Shima has recently emerged from a transformative renovation that has revitalized its ambiance while staying true to traditional Japanese cuisine that locals and visitors love. The restaurant was acquired by Ivan Manoylov in 2021, who has modernized the branding and menu in the past few years, and now has overhauled the interior of the restaurant to feature refined surfaces, and modern decor. The revamped Shima welcomes patrons with freshly painted white walls that create a bright, airy atmosphere. A new sushi bar stands in the back corner, where guests can watch as their orders are freshly crafted.
