From College Athletes to Lifelong Partners

Caroline and Brantley first crossed paths during their freshman year at Georgia College & State University, where Caroline played volleyball and Brantley played basketball. As the years passed, casual conversations turned into lasting friendships, and by senior year, their connection had deepened into something more. Their relationship grew alongside campus traditions, shared victories, and evenings in their favorite corners of town. Brantley had been born and raised in Milledgeville, and Caroline had come to love the community just as deeply. When it came time to choose a wedding location, the decision was easy. This town had shaped them as individuals and brought them together—it only made sense that it would witness their vows.

Saying “I Do” at Magnolia Ballroom

The couple exchanged vows at Magnolia Ballroom, a refined venue rich in history and character. Originally constructed in 1913 as Milledgeville’s First United Methodist Church and beautifully restored by Georgia College in 2005, the space combines a grand architectural presence with soft, elegant details. Towering windows, a domed ceiling, and ornate chandeliers set the tone for a romantic December wedding. Caroline and Brantley opted for a clean, classic design with subtle blue accents and minimal decor—allowing the beauty of the ballroom to shine through. The ceremony was held on the elevated stage beneath the ballroom’s central dome, offering a striking yet intimate setting where they said their “I dos” surrounded by nearly 300 guests.

A Quiet Moment at Georgia's Old Governor’s Mansion

Before the ceremony, Caroline and Brantley shared a private first look at Georgia’s Old Governor’s Mansion, one of Milledgeville’s most iconic and picturesque landmarks. The historic columned estate, surrounded by stately trees and tucked behind a charming white picket fence, offered a peaceful setting away from the bustle of the day. The Mansion’s timeless elegance created a stunning backdrop for portraits. The moment felt quiet and personal—an opportunity to pause and take it all in before the celebration began.
