Chapel of All Faiths
Built in 1963, the Chapel of All Faiths is on the campus of historic Central State Hospital. The chapel has pew seating for nearly 400 guests and is adjacent to 12 acres of pecan trees for photos or a reception. If you prefer, there’s also the downstairs Fellowship Hall for receptions and intimate weddings. Large windows add to the ambiance.
Georgia's Old Governor's Mansion
Say “I do” at Georgia’s Old Governor’s Mansion, an important landmark in Georgia history. While the interior is a historic site and not open for weddings, the grounds have a large lawn and education building that can host events. The rental rate is reasonably priced and the Mansion’s caterer, Sodexo Catering, supplies everything you need for a special day.
Parker's Wedding & Events Venue
Located a short drive from downtown Milledgeville, Parker’s Wedding and Events Venue provides the perfect backdrop for chic and stylish weddings. The large space has chandeliers and drapery along with access to Chiavari chairs. Couples can choose their own caterers, allowing for any budget. The 6,500 square-foot facility includes tables, chairs, linens, and access to the bar and dance floor. The venue can also accommodate over 400 guests.
Rose Hill at Lockerly Arboretum
Rose Hill, a timeless Greek Revival home, was built in 1852 and serves as the centerpiece of Lockerly Arboretum. Situated in the center of the property and presiding over its surroundings with elegance and grace, spend your wedding day surrounded by dreamy gardens, rich history, and endless stunning backdrops. Whether you choose to say ‘I do” in the front parlor of Rose Hill, in the meadow or at the amphitheater, Lockerly Arboretum offers a unique and lovely setting for your special day. Rose Hill accommodates 75 people for weddings and many couples decide to host their rehearsal dinner here in addition to the wedding ceremony and reception.
Simply Southern Barn
For the popular barn wedding style, there’s nothing better than the family-owned Simply Southern Barn on Lake Sinclair. Couples can get married in the 2,800 square-foot barn with two spaces and upstairs suites for getting ready. The space also has extensive grounds for outdoor weddings. The barn can accommodate weddings of up to 200 guests seated at tables. The multiple suggested vendors can allow for a wide range of budgets.
The Club at Lake Sinclair
The lakefront venue at The Club at Lake Sinclair has hosted special events and weddings since opening in 1957. Couples can get married on the grounds, in the grand ballroom, on the terrace, or in smaller spaces like the lounge and bar and grill, depending on the size of the wedding. Catering is also offered by The Club.
The Magnolia Ballroom
Built in 1913, the Magnolia Ballroom building was originally the First United Methodist Church of Milledgeville. Today, the ballroom is operated by Georgia College and State University for special events. The elegant space with a domed ceiling and chandeliers is a blank canvas for any wedding’s theme or style.
