The Board of Directors is thrilled to announce the appointment of Rebekah Snider as the new Executive Director of the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Snider joins the Milledgeville CVB with over 10 years of experience in tourism. Most recently Rebekah served as the Tourism Project Development Manager for the Georgia Department of Economic Development for the Historic Heartland Region. In this role, Snider worked with tourism professionals and assisted the 19 county regions in maintaining tourism as one of the state’s top economic drivers through product development support and provided marketing assistance. Snider worked in collaboration with communities, business owners and the GDEcD
product development team to develop and enhance potential and existing tourism product in the Historic Heartland region. Previously she had worked within the Clayton County Convention & Visitors Bureau and Lawrenceville Tourism & Trade Association. Snider served as a board member of the Historic Heartland Travel Association, Antebellum Trail Association, Treasures
Along I-20, Georgia’s Lake Country and the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Convention & Visitors
Bureau.
As Executive Director, Snider will be responsible for managing, directing and supervising all administrative and operational activities, personnel, and programs in support of the mission and goals of the CVB to promote tourism activities for the Milledgeville Baldwin County area.
Snider earned her Bachelor of Arts from Georgia College & State University. Her husband, Jamie, is employed at Zschimmer & Schwartz here in Milledgeville and they have two young boys Grayson and Brady.
