From there, enjoy a guided exploration of Georgia’s Old State Capitol Building, with a special look inside the House Chamber and Legislative Lobby. As you walk the grounds of the Square, you’ll uncover tales of the Liberty Tree, the northern and southern gates, the former slave market, and the dramatic fires that have affected historic Milledgeville—including the infamous burning of the Big Indian Saloon.
