Seed Planting Class

ABOUT

The Seed Planting Class at Robbins Farm is a beginner-friendly, hands-on gardening workshop designed for families and new growers. Participants will learn how to start seeds in trays, care for seedlings during germination, and successfully transplant young plants into garden beds and containers. The class includes guided planting activities, a Q&A session with the farm team, and a tour of the farm’s chicken house and composting areas to provide a full-picture introduction to sustainable gardening practices.

Each registration includes planting materials, with participants choosing between sunflower or vegetable seeds to start in trays, plus a ready-to-plant vegetable seedling to take home and continue growing. Tools are provided, and guests are encouraged to bring gardening gloves. The class lasts approximately two hours and is $15 which includes one child and a parent/guardian; additional children are $10 each. Tools are provided, but guests should bring their own gloves.
