Lake Sinclair Poker Run

The 3rd Annual Lake Sinclair Poker Run takes to the water on Saturday, July 9, at 9:00 AM. Bring
your boat, the spouse and kids, friends, and the dog because the 3rd Annual Lake Sinclair Poker Run will be
too much fun to miss! We love all boats—pontoons, fishing boats, jet skis, and performance craft.

A Poker Run is a giant scavenger hunt to compete for cash prizes while enjoying a fun day on the lake.
Players gather at Dennis Station in Putnam County beginning at 8:15 AM to get the maps and
instructions. A short briefing with a representative of the Department of Natural Resources follows at
8:45 AM, after which the boats head out. Players follow maps and geo-coordinates to specified
locations around the lake where they pick up a playing card sealed in an envelope. For $15, participants
can purchase a voucher for a picnic lunch on Goat Island catered by Aubri Lanes and The Club (Deadline
July 8th ).

It will be a great day to explore the lake and learn some of its history. Players will return to Dennis Station between 1:15 and 1:45 PM with their sealed envelopes to reveal their hands. Five card poker Rules apply, and the best hand will win a cash prize of $1000, with a second prize of $500. All proceeds support Georgia’s Old Capital Heritage Center at The Depot, Inc. and the renovation of the CSH train depot for a regional cultural center (

In order to play a hand, a participant must register for the event ($55 per player). Registration is available online at and includes the event rules, registration information, and the opportunity to purchase a voucher for the Goat Island Picnic (deadline July 8th ). Onsite registration on July 9th is available but will not include lunch vouchers.
