Halloween Children's Trolley Tour: Room on the Broom

Families are invited to celebrate Halloween with a fun, festive, and delightfully silly children’s trolley tour on Friday, October 31st at 11:30 a.m. Designed for young riders, this one-hour experience offers a lighthearted, story-driven celebration that is playful rather than spooky.

Children are encouraged to arrive in their Halloween costumes as Milly the Trolley transforms into a storybook on wheels. The adventure begins with a warm welcome for all “storybook travelers,” giving kids a chance to show off their costumes before the guide begins reading Room on the Broom.

The story unfolds in parts throughout the ride, with movement, call-and-response moments, and interactive prompts that invite children to help “make room on the broom” through imagination and participation. Sing-alongs to familiar tunes are woven into the experience, keeping the energy upbeat and engaging as the trolley makes brief stops along the way.

At the end of the ride, children return to the Visitor’s Center where each participant receives a small prize to take home. This gentle, joyful Halloween experience is perfect for families looking for a creative and kid-friendly way to celebrate the season.
