ABOUT
The 2026 GHSA Bass Fishing State Finals comes to Milledgeville on Saturday, May 9th, bringing Georgia’s top high school anglers to Lake Sinclair for a full day of championship competition. Takeoff and weigh-in will be held at Little River Park, where teams will launch at sunrise and return that afternoon to the scales.
Hosted in partnership with the Georgia High School Association, the Student Angler Federation, and Major League Fishing, the State Finals feature the top qualifying boats advancing from regional competition across Georgia.
Teams will compete in a five-bass limit format (largemouth and spotted bass, 12-inch minimum). Boats are operated by a coach or volunteer driver, with student anglers permitted to run the trolling motor. Coaches may provide assistance and strategy but are not permitted to fish. Competition waters remain open for practice through 5 p.m. on May 8.
