Join Georgia's Old Capital Heritage Center at The Depot, Inc. for an evening of learning, discussion, and community connection! They will welcome Ashley Quinn on Tuesday, March 17th at Allen's Market. Ashley will speak about the masonry headstones and sculptures created by Eldren M. Bailey, a black folk artist from Atlanta whose art is created in concrete, plaster, and paint. Examples of Bailey's unique cultural art are found scattered predominantly in the Atlanta and surrounding area cemeteries.
This ever-popular lecture series is now in its 21st year! Evenings with History brings the past to life through engaging talks on local history. Each program features a different speaker sharing unique stories and expertise on various topics. Come listen and learn at Allen's Market every third Tuesday.
