Children's Trolley Tour: Little Explorers

Young explorers are invited to hop aboard Milly the Trolley for the Little Explorers Children’s Trolley Tour on Saturday, August 15th at 11:30 a.m. Designed for children ages 3–12, this extended hour-and-a-half adventure offers hands-on discovery, outdoor learning, and playful exploration.

The journey begins with a children’s book reading that introduces the day’s theme before traveling by trolley to Lockerly Arboretum for a special science-focused program. Once there, children will step into the role of nature detectives and garden adventurers as they explore the natural world through engaging, age-appropriate activities.

Activities include fossil digging, a nature hunt adventure walk, and guided exploration designed to spark curiosity and encourage observation. Programming is scaled to meet a range of interests and energy levels, making the experience engaging for both younger and older participants.

This immersive children’s trolley tour blends storytelling, science, and outdoor adventure for a memorable summer experience surrounded by nature.
