The Georgia College & State University Department of Art, cordially invites you to attend, HOMES FOR THE HOLIDAYS TOUR and view TREASURES, works of art from the GCSU permanent art collection.

Date: Saturday, December 11th, 10:00 - 4:00 p.m. (One Day Event)

Location: Museum of Fine Arts (102 South Columbia Street)

Brief Description:

Tour historic homes in Georgia's Antebellum Capital and experience holiday celebrations of the spirited Old South!

In conjunction with Milledgeville's Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Milledgeville Museum Association, the Museum of Fine Arts is pleased to presents drawings, prints, and paintings from the Georgia College & State University permanent art collection. The Museum of Fine Arts is showcasing more than thirty nationally and internationally recognized artists. Ellen Conner and Theodor Windish, both Museum Studies students of the Department of Art, curated this group exhibition. The art collection ranges in dates from the early 1800s to today. Artworks in the collection are from donors, alumni, and past faculty of Georgia College. This exhibition also displays Artists-in-Residence limited edition prints produced through the Department of Art's printmaking studio.

There is a fee to visit and tour the other museums and private homes participating on the Homes for the Holidays tour. Tours are self-guided and tickets are available at the Convention & Visitors Bureau from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is $12 for adults (children 10 & under are free).
