Local farmers from throughout the region and vendors of locally made crafts bring their goods downtown to sell at the Farmers' Market.
The Farmers' Market kicks off the 2012 season with a new location. The Milledgeville Marketplace Farmers' Market will now be held on the grassy area next to the Golden Pantry. This area will provide a more comfortable environment for the vendors and allows for more convenient parking for customers. Beginning the first week of August through the end of October, the Market will be open every Tuesday from 3:00 to 6:00pm to accomodate back to school hours. It should be easy to spot the market with the vendor tents set up at 222 E. Hancock Street, a block from Historic Downtown Milledgeville. Additional parking is easily available in the lower grassy lot accessed from N. Elbert Street and the lot behind the City Hall Annex.
Come to the market every Tuesday to find great tasting and fresh food grown locally. There will an array of products including local and fresh produce, home baked goods, fruit, crafts, soap and more. Buying local supports local farmers and artisans. The market is the place you want to be on Tuesdays to socialize, buy fresh foods and local crafts. Enjoy an afternoon outside of the supermarket!
If you are interested in participating as a vendor, call the Mainstreet office.
